Course: Name and location subject to change Expect an all day hike and fly of similar flying to hiking time. This will aim to be very similar to our previous Sprint races. These events aim to engage all level of pilots with good launching and landing skills. We hope to end this course at the same goal field as the Eastern Sierra Tour two day Race.

The location is subject to change if the weather is no good and will be finalized April 1. Expect an all day course with big elevation hikes and cross country flying needed to make the finish!


UPDATE 3/31/22 Current dream course will be ending at Flynns near bishop. Carpooling from Flynns or Vons will be highly encouraged!

Equipment Requirements: This is the minimum you need on you at all times, on the ground and in the air, highly suggested you have more.

  • Wing

  • Harness

  • GPS tracking device

  • Appropriatly sized Reserve

  • Phone

  • Helmet

  • IGC recording device


Rules of Engagement:

  1. HIKING and FLYING a PARAGLIDER are the only acceptable modes of transportation in this race. (MTB exception OCT 31)

  2. We use feet and miles for distance

  3. You must submit a photo at your turn point to be valid.

  4. Obey National Airspace Requirements and VFR at all times

  5. Movement is allowed from 6am till 8pm everyday with a mandatory check in at 8pm

  6. Pre-planned team flying with non participants is not allowed

  7. Non assisted launch only

  8. Paraglider must be larger than 16m2 and cannot exceed 6kg/m2

  9. All flying equipment must be certified and fulfill the latest criteria for the following certification standards:

    1. Paraglider: EN 926-2 and 926-1

    2. Harness: EN 1651 / LTF09 with certified protection

    3. Rescue parachute: EN 12491

Support: A supporter is not necessary for this race. Because we will be running two races at once any volunteers are encouraged to contact us to coordinate.
